My name is Shaun Best, a harlem native New Yorker,
Ceo & founder of a non profit organization called JumpShots Over GunShots, Inc and my mission is empowering disadvantaged youth with life skills through basketball by promoting education, entrepreneurship, mentoring
and journalism.
I’ve been engaging kids, teens and young adults throughout the five boroughs of NYC ever since 2014 by not only promoting developmental basketball training or skills and drills competitions but youth initiatives such as historical harlem heroes and Spanish heritage month which were part of our Jr Journalism project. We also had Community Engagement such as neighborhood beautification, Projects, Park & Rec clean up & waste recycling and Teen Car wash Wednesday’s just to introduce them to what entrepreneurship is all about so they can have a head start on being a young professional while pursuing their educational goals.
