I am a Management Information Systems student at OSTİM Technical University in Ankara, Türkiye, originally from Somalia. My academic interests sit at the intersection of technology, business, data, and social impact. Through my studies, I have developed practical experience with Excel, database systems, research, and strategic analysis, while also building my communication and teamwork skills.
I am especially interested in using technology and digital tools to solve real problems and create opportunities for young people in underserved communities. My experiences in the Aspire Leaders Program and as a Program Assistant and Data Research Intern have helped me become more organized, independent, and comfortable working with people from different backgrounds.
I see the SAVVY Fellowship as an opportunity to learn from others, strengthen my leadership skills, and turn my ideas into practical solutions. In the long term, I want to build a career connecting technology and social impact, while contributing to educational and economic opportunities for young people, particularly in communities affected by limited access to resources. I also hope to develop the confidence and networks needed to lead meaningful projects.
