Michael Okwubi is the Founder and CEO of Starbook, a Nigerian online marketplace where entrepreneurs, record labels and event organizers discover, negotiate, book and securely pay celebrities and entertainers. Starbook is the first product of his IT company, which builds apps for the Nigerian community. He launched Starbook in 2021 and drew strong early interest, then in 2022 specified and built a working booking and ticketing website with a technology partner. The company could not fund its first year and stalled. He is now relaunching it as a lean mobile app on the App Store and Google Play, with a five-year plan to reach self-sufficiency by Year 3.
