My name is Josphat Maina. I am a disability leader and a person with disabilities. I run a disability organization called Beyond Barriers Empowerment Network. We create disability awareness through mentorship, education and training. Our organisation also conduct accessibility audits and consulting and runs empowerment programs to improve the health, social and economic lives of people with disabilities. I have done disability consulting for Nakuru town east constituency office since 2019. I have done a short course on personal and professional development by Accenture and a leadership training on a six months Fellowship by Emerging Leaders Foundation. Through my organization, I have done a mentorship program to students with disabilities of the Rift Valley institute of Science and Technology in October 2023.
