I am a 2020 graduate of Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration Management-Accounting from Mwenge Catholic University (MWECAU) in Moshi district in Kilimanjaro region here in Tanzania. In my last year, I assisted undergraduate students from various universities in Tanzania in writing research proposals and reports as well as writing various business proposals and projects for
different people. In 2021, I developed a business plan on poultry production and pig farming, but the challenge was capital. Nevertheless, in July 2022, I got an initial capital from my church, which became my partner in business. My pig farm now is on the
run.
My long-term goals and aspirations are to be a successful farmer to an extent of employing others. I am of the idea that if there are people who are employers, I can become one as well. I am optimistic for the possibilities. Believably, my undertaking may provide an educative platform for my contemporaries who will still be waiting for employment. Just as I have been challenged and encouraged by those who have become successful through various entrepreneurial activities, perhaps I may add my efforts to the catalyst of awakening to our people who are still blind to the opportunities of success around us.
When agriculture is conducted professional, its return is appealing. This is a major motivation that drives me to get involved. In Tanzania, hardly everybody speaks of agriculture being the backbone of our economy but the number of true practitioners in the field is infinitesimal.
