My name is Carys Simmonds, I am 17 years old living in a small town in New Zealand. I have four younger siblings and my Mum is raising us on her own. My father passed away three years ago so I have been driven to do well academically to make him proud, his passing was very sudden and tragic but it has also motivated me to constantly search for new learning opportunities and experiences which led me to getting accepted into Oxford University's summer program and study entrepreneurship and business.
