Anand Baraik

Anand Baraik is a mission-driven social entrepreneur, technology strategist, and development professional with over 10 years of experience creating high-impact solutions across education, health, agriculture, sports, and governance. His work has directly empowered over 2,000+ individuals, primarily in rural and underserved areas of India.

Anand founded and ran an EdTech startup for 4 years (2017–2021) that helped over 800+ village students prepare for government competitive exams. The innovation lay in deploying digital board content in physical classroom setups, allowing students with limited internet access to benefit from quality visual learning — bridging the digital divide while preserving community-based instruction.

He also runs a creative agency that offers music and video production services, creating livelihood opportunities for 35+ rural youth and producing over 60+ media projects — amplifying local narratives while generating sustainable employment.

Since 2021, Anand has led a data automation consulting initiative that has supported 9 NGOs in improving impact storytelling, monitoring, and donor communications. His tech-enabled systems have enhanced operational efficiency by 30–50%, enabling partners to scale their visibility and funding potential.

Professionally, Anand has worked with Deloitte India, Piramal Foundation, and ELMS Sports Foundation — a joint initiative of the Dani Foundation and Reliance Foundation. At ELMS, he contributed to Project Chaalang, a national-level physical literacy program implemented in partnership with NITI Aayog in Aspirational Districts. Anand led the development of monitoring systems and performance dashboards that supported data-driven coaching, fitness interventions, and structured sports education across multiple states.

Previously at the Piramal Foundation, Anand served as District Lead for the Aspirational District Project (NITI Aayog) in Khunti, Jharkhand. He worked across the health and education sectors, introducing monitoring tools and early-grade assessments, while also co-developing agriculture-focused innovations with the district administration. These initiatives helped tribal farmers adopt improved farming practices, access schemes, and boost productivity.

Across roles, Anand has consistently delivered tangible results — including a 20% increase in process efficiency, a 15% reduction in project timelines, and a 16% improvement in data-led decisions. His educational innovations were recognized in the USAID Journal for enhancing student outcomes at scale.

Through the Savvy Fellowship, Anand envisions scaling a unified platform that brings together EdTech, agriculture, sports innovation, and data intelligence to empower 10,000+ rural youth over the next five years. His mission is to build inclusive, tech-enabled ecosystems for learning, livelihoods, and leadership — proving that entrepreneurship can be a catalyst for social equity and systemic change.
