My name is Jessica Hutt and I am a senior pursuing a degree in Communication with dual-minors in Strategy, Leadership, & Analytics (SLAM) and Social Innovation & Social Entrepreneurship through the honors college at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Throughout my budding career as an aspiring social entrepreneur, I have had the privilege of collaborating with skilled teams across a plethora of organizations, working to advance their missions via writing, communication, and community organization efforts - areas of personal interest where I believe my contributions are strongest and can generate the greatest impact. As a justice-oriented individual with a relentless desire to realize the vision of a more equitable future shared by changemakers worldwide, I have become passionate about a diversity of causes and supported them through my work. Over the years, I have assumed leadership positions with groups advocating for gun violence prevention, youth climate action, the election of local political candidates, gender-based violence prevention, the expansion of resources and education regarding mental health in schools, and global literacy, among a number of others. These initiatives remain dear to my heart, and are areas I hope to further my impact within as I progress in my education (both formally and experientially) and continue to develop as an agent of change.
