He is a biomedical engineer and the founder of a startup, a healthcare technology system in Ethiopia. Through healthcare technology in Ethiopia, he and his team developed a low-cost device that uses breath ammonia to analyze the performance of the kidney in low-resource settings. Muhammed has been featured and won awards in different categories he applied for summer school design 2015 held at Addis Ababa University in collaboration with the African Biomedical Engineering Consortium (ABEC), the innovative idea was selected as a high-economic impact project.
