Music is my first love. The arts were my first passion. Music is a part of my life that I can't live without. As a young child, music has always been a part of my life. Whether it was waking up to the sounds of Brian Culbertson, or getting driven to school with Kirk Franklin on the car stereo, music has always played a vital role in my life.
As a young rising scholar, I am always open to anything and trying new things. But as a career goal, my passion has always drawn back to music. I would like to take my love for music and create a path for myself for it to become a career. I want to have lyrical content that makes people inspired and to always become a stepping stone for someone who has not reached their full potential in life, especially because that is how I was once inspired by my favorite artists. As a 12-year old, all I can remember is being in my bedroom listening to artists on rotation, from the likes of J Dilla, Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, The Creator
Coming down stairs for dinner when i saw my two sister laughing and giggling while smelling my mother cooking, I heard these sounds that were coming through my sisters computer. It was music. “Where This Flower Blooms” by Tyler the Creator to be exact. I dont remember how i felt i that specific moment, i could feel the elements from the music my mother listened to to the new rap music that i listen to. I was hooked.
blaring through my headphones. They were playing their music for me to be engrossed to; it became an integral part of my ambitions of becoming a musician today. Now as I go on through my current high school years, It has influenced how I create. It influenced and inspired me to become a producer, lyricist and a business man.
