Natasha Ramsey MD, MPH is a board certified pediatrician, adolescent medicine specialist, sexual health educator, illustrator and content creator. She currently lives and works in New York City as a School Health Doctor in the Bronx at Montefiore Medical Center. Her passion for adolescent health and sexual health stems back to her own adolescence when she wrote for teen sexual health magazine and website Sex Etc.org. She went on to obtain her medical degree and masters in global public health from New York University and completed her pediatric residency training at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Because of her commitment to adolescents she pursued additional training in adolescent medicine at Children's National Hospital and Columbia University. Her own experiences in adolescence, witnessing the lack of representation in medicine and sexual health as well as reproductive injustices in the health sector further solidified her interest in sexual and reproductive health. She founded Gorjus Sex Ed, a sexual health organization dedicated to creating culturally competent and medically accurate sexual health resources for youth and the professionals that serve them to help bridge that gap. Dr. Tasha not only illustrates diverse and inclusive images and infographics, she is also a content creator, a fierce advocate for the adolescent community and has served as a speaker at conferences, facilitates workshops with schools and sexual health organizations, participates in social media engagement, and provides consultation for other sexual health organizations around the world. She remains committed to improving sexual health for youth both here and abroad by curating beautiful and medically accurate resources that are so desperately needed.
