I am Aubrey Majawa, the founder and owner of 25th AD AGRO LINK, a registered agribusiness in Malawi dedicated to creating sustainable solutions that empower communities and generate economic value. Growing up, I witnessed how energy shortages, environmental degradation, and underutilized agricultural waste limited opportunities for households and farmers. These experiences inspired me to become an entrepreneur, using business as a tool to solve pressing social and environmental challenges.
My motivation is to turn problems into practical solutions. I am launching a Waste-to-Energy Briquettes project that converts sugarcane stalks, banana pseudostems, and other agricultural residues into affordable, eco-friendly energy for households and small businesses. This venture not only addresses energy scarcity and deforestation but also creates income opportunities for rural farmers and jobs in production and distribution.
Entrepreneurship allows me to combine my passion for innovation, sustainability, and social impact. By participating in programs and engaging with investors, I aim to scale this business to benefit more communities, reduce environmental harm, and contribute to Malawi’s green energy transition, establishing a model for sustainable agribusiness innovation.
