Dear Entrepreneur,
I am who I am today because of the choices I made yesterday. Entrepreneurs face tough choices every day. One of the toughest choices entrepreneurs have to make might be quitting their existing job to run their own business. I have had to quit my job twice because of a personal project that needed my full concentration.
I had to quit my first job at the age of 16, after 30 days in the job, in order to launch my video game development company. At 19, I had to quit my second job after 11 days in the job, to start my social networking startup company. And at 27, I got a job offer, accepted it, but didn’t show up for work because I had conceived the idea for Publiseer and wanted to focus on it.
Many entrepreneurs have reported that making tough decisions changed their lives for the better. So I urge you today to be willing to make those challenging calls and push through the difficult times. It has to first get ugly before it gets pretty.
With love,
Chidi
