It’s often wise to take advice from more experienced people when doing something new. During your student or professional life, in business or in any other field, working alone is foolhardy.
Don’t be ashamed or proud to take advice from those who have been there and done it. It’s not important for them to be winners but also those who have done it failed at it or made mistakes so that you can learn not to make those mistakes yourself.
Take the benefit of the experience of your mentors, teachers and coaches, and the work would become much easier for you.
