There are always going to be people who are more naturally talented than you are. And sometimes, when you enter the room, you won’t be the smartest person in it.
But all that doesn’t matter at all because what you lack in talent, you can make up for in passion.
Extraordinary people aren’t necessarily the most talented people around. They simply pursue their passion more relentlessly than others. If you haven’t found out what you’re most passionate about, you can use Warren Buffet’s 5/25 technique to do so:
“Simply write down on a piece of paper, the top 25 things that you care the most about, and then, cross out the bottom 20—which leaves you with 5 things. These are your true passions, while everything else is merely a distraction.”
Have you ever watched a horror or scary movie? Notice how zombies or possessed demons go after their target relentlessly not matter how hard they’ve been hit or how many times they’ve been stopped?
Imagine if we can chase our dreams like that.
