Dear Entrepreneur,

Business is much like poker—you get caught cheating in poker, and you’re done for good. Word gets around, and eventually, you’re out of the game.

The same goes for business, and well, everything else in life.

If you’re known for playing dirty—constantly seeking shortcuts in every business dealing — your reputation is tarnished and nobody wants anything to do with you.

As an entrepreneur, you have to understand that your work ethic is your reputation.

If you’re a good sport—always playing it clean, always showing up, never failing to keep a promise, and constantly meeting your commitments, both personal and business, then opportunities would always come your way because people trust you with no doubt.

If you’re the opposite, then you’ve got to find another line of work, because business needs trust.

Period.

With love,
Chidi
