Have you heard of the term “big assumptions”?
Stop overthinking it, and take action. Failure to take action can breed fear and doubt. On the other hand, taking action helps build courage and confidence. Don’t sit around and think about doing it.
Get up and get busy.
If the thought of doing it overwhelms you and stresses you out, then stop overthinking it, and do something. Just do something—anything. Take a chance. In a worst-case scenario, you will achieve nothing doing it, which is as good as not doing it in the first place.
So, what do you have to lose?
The idea is to not get hung up on everything that you need to do, but instead, just get started and build momentum. If you can’t decide on what to do first, create a to-do list, close your eyes, and drop a finger on your list. Whatever your finger lands on, that’s where you should start. According to Danny Wallace, “…some of the best things that have ever happened to you in life, happened because you said yes to something. Otherwise things just sort of stay the same.”
Say yes today.
