Dear Entrepreneur,
Whatever your worries are—maybe your work is getting too demanding—try to understand that stress is a normal part of life.
Sometimes, the stress intensifies and builds up, and you may begin to feel like “your head is underwater”.
Take a timeout.
Sometimes, you just need to cool down and gather your thoughts—remove yourself emotionally or physically, by reading a book, meditating, exercising, or going for a walk.
I remember sometime last year, in Accra, Ghana, June precisely, I had so much on my mind, so I went for a walk.
I plugged my headphone, and an hour later, from East Legon, I found myself in Madina.
This long walk helped me separate myself from my worries, and gave me a chance to clear my head and put things into perspective.
When I was back in East Legon, though my worries weren’t gone, I was able to manage it differently.
It helped me gain a finer sense of control.
With love,
Chidi
