Dear Entrepreneur,
Stand out. Find your “shtick”. This helps you to stand out and apart from every other person in the room, and around you. It helps you to be easily spotted in big crowds. Ever wondered why some celebrities decide to have crazy hairdos or tatted-up arms? For me, people have identified me as someone who wears baseball caps, smiles widely, folds my arms, and talks a lot about entrepreneurship. Once, someone told me that he hasn’t seen me without a smile on, and when I wasn’t smiling, I was talking. That’s my shtick.
Find your shtick in a natural and not-forced way, otherwise, you will end up looking ridiculous and making everyone around you feel awkward. Just imagine Ellen DeGeneres wearing high heels and skirts? Not possible, because that’s not her shtick!
