In my opinion, one of the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make is not thinking through ‘logistics’ when delivering a presentation about their business. When speaking about your business, especially publicly, you need to ask yourself these questions:
What is my objective of speaking? What do I want those listening to me, to do as a result? Do I want them to take any action, make a decision, or change their approach? Who is my audience? What group of people am I speaking to? Are they frontline workers or business executives? How much time am I to speak for?
Knowing the answers to all these questions helps you tailor your speech properly for your audience.
