Just do you, and don’t waste your energy trying to satisfy everyone’s perception about you. Be authentic, because being the opposite makes you a “people-pleaser” trying to look rich, and thus becoming impatient, and eventually failing all-together. Don’t talk too much in order to explain to someone why you matter. It only makes you react negatively to high-pressure situations.
In other words, pursue success, and not the need to impress (some people you don’t even know, or who don’t even care about you.) To be effective in your business, speak sensitively, directly, and intelligently, so others can hear you without misinterpretation. Learn to listen intently, in order to respond intelligently. Trust me, you’ll learn more by listening more than you speak.
